What is student life like at Fordham's New York City campus?
I'm a high school junior looking at colleges in cities, and Fordham keeps coming up because of its New York location. I'm trying to picture what day-to-day life actually feels like there outside of classes.
I'm especially interested in whether students feel connected to campus even with the city around them, or if it feels more independent and spread out.

At Fordham, the answer depends a lot on which NYC campus you mean, because student life feels pretty different at Rose Hill in the Bronx versus Lincoln Center in Manhattan.
Rose Hill tends to feel the most like a traditional residential campus. It has a defined quad, more of a contained community, and a stronger sense of students hanging around campus for clubs, events, dining, and weekends.
Lincoln Center feels more integrated into the city itself. It is smaller, more vertical, and more independent in vibe, with students moving between residence halls, academic buildings, coffee shops, and subway stops. People still build community there, but it usually feels less like an insulated college bubble and more like being a student who lives in Manhattan.
Students at both campuses can feel connected, but the connection often comes from different things. At Rose Hill, it is easier to get the classic campus feel. At Lincoln Center, connection often comes through smaller communities, clubs, friend groups, majors, and shared city life rather than everyone gathering in one central space.
