Its Manhattan location gives it unusual access to internships and professional networks, although the undergraduate experience can feel more decentralized than Northwestern's.

For broad academic reputation alone, Northwestern is more often perceived as the more prestigious of the two, particularly among people making general comparisons of private universities.
