Its broad alumni community is a practical asset for informational interviews and referrals, particularly in the Southwest.

UCSB can be a compelling choice for a student interested in economics, entrepreneurship, technology, consumer brands, or California-based opportunities, but it requires more self-direction. UCSB does not operate like a traditional undergraduate business school; students commonly pursue Economics, Economics and Accounting, or related programs and build business experience through campus organizations, networking, and internships.
