Which is better for undergraduate aerospace engineering: Carnegie Mellon or the University of Michigan?

I’m a high school senior deciding between Carnegie Mellon and the University of Michigan for an undergraduate path toward aerospace engineering. I’m especially interested in which school provides stronger preparation and opportunities for students who want to work in the aerospace industry.

Its strengths in computer science, robotics, and engineering would translate well to autonomy-heavy aerospace work, but a student would need to build an aerospace pathway through another major, relevant electives, projects, internships, and possibly graduate study. For a senior who already knows they want aerospace engineering as the undergraduate discipline, Michigan offers the more direct and comprehensive foundation.
