Which college is generally considered more prestigious: Rice or Brandeis?

Rice is generally regarded as more prestigious overall than Brandeis, particularly on a national level. For a broad question of institutional name recognition and perceived selectivity, Rice has the edge. That difference should not outweigh a substantially better academic, financial, or campus-life fit at Brandeis: graduate admissions and many employers will care far more about course rigor, grades, research, recommendations, internships, and demonstrated achievement than a modest difference in overall institutional reputation.
