Which college has a more fun student experience: UW–Madison or CU Boulder?

For a student prioritizing a lively, easy-to-access social scene every day, UW–Madison has the edge. Its compact campus sits directly between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, with State Street linking student housing, restaurants, coffee shops, and downtown Madison. Badger game days, the Memorial Union Terrace, lake activities, and a strong campus tradition around large shared events create a particularly visible, all-in-one student culture.

UW–Madison’s social life is also less dependent on having a car or organizing an outdoor excursion.
