Is Florida State University or Wake Forest University more difficult to get into?

The biggest practical difference is that Wake Forest evaluates applicants within a much smaller, private-university applicant pool and has a more selective overall admissions process, while Florida State admits a larger class but is still highly competitive, especially for out-of-state applicants and popular programs. Wake Forest’s admitted students tend to present exceptionally strong academic records, and its review places substantial weight on essays, recommendations, activities, and demonstrated personal fit.
