What are the best colleges for computer engineering students in the US?

I’m a high school junior who wants to major in computer engineering, and I’m trying to build a college list that’s actually strong for that specific major. I keep seeing general engineering rankings, but I’m not sure which schools are especially well known for computer engineering compared to just computer science or electrical engineering.

I’m looking for colleges in the US that are considered top choices for computer engineering students.

If you want schools that are especially strong in computer engineering, the top names most students look at are Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Michigan, Purdue, Cornell, and UT Austin.

Those schools are well known for strong CE coursework, embedded systems, computer architecture, hardware-software integration, and access to major tech recruiting.

A few others that are often excellent choices are Stanford, MIT, Caltech, UCLA, UC San Diego, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Maryland, and NC State.
