Duke vs. Carnegie Mellon: Which Is Better for Undergraduate Robotics?

I’m a high school senior interested in studying robotics as an undergraduate, especially the combination of mechanical engineering, computer science, and hands-on project work. I’m deciding between Duke and Carnegie Mellon and want to understand which school is generally stronger for robotics preparation.

The campus also tends to offer a more traditionally balanced undergraduate experience, with easier room to explore across disciplines and participate broadly outside engineering. For robotics students interested in healthcare or biomedical applications, Duke’s wider health-sciences ecosystem can be a meaningful advantage.
