Purdue’s computer engineering program benefits from deep employer recognition, a large engineering alumni network, and recruiting relationships that extend well beyond Indiana.

Your own initiative will matter more than a small difference in program reputation. At either school, prioritize project teams, undergraduate research, internships by the summer after sophomore year, and a portfolio that shows real technical work, such as an embedded system, FPGA project, chip-design work, robotics build, or operating-systems contribution. Cost matters too: graduating with significantly less debt can be more valuable than a modest difference in recruiting access.
