Is the University of Florida or Loyola Marymount University more social?

For the broadest, most active campus-centered social scene, the University of Florida is likely the more social choice. Its much larger student body, major SEC athletics culture, extensive student-organization roster, and busy Gainesville college-town setting create frequent built-in opportunities to meet people. At UF, social life often revolves around residence halls, game days, clubs, Greek life, campus events, and the fact that so many students live and spend their time near campus.

Loyola Marymount offers a more intimate and relationship-driven version of social life. Its smaller undergraduate community can make it easier to recognize people, form close friend groups, and get involved quickly in clubs, service, and campus traditions. The Bluff campus is residential and scenic, but Los Angeles also means students may spread their time across internships, neighborhoods, beaches, concerts, and other off-campus plans rather than gathering around one dominant college-town scene.
