University of Florida vs. Lehigh University: Which is better for undergraduate research?

I’m a high school senior deciding between the University of Florida and Lehigh University, and I’m especially interested in getting involved in research as an undergraduate. Lehigh University is the more favorable choice for undergraduate research if your main priority is getting direct access to faculty early and working in a smaller academic environment. For a student with a very specific research niche, particularly one tied to UF’s broad science, health, or environmental resources, that breadth can be especially valuable.
