For a student specifically seeking an undergraduate cybersecurity degree and a direct route into the field, George Mason University is the stronger choice. Mason offers a dedicated B.S. in Cyber Security Engineering, while UF’s undergraduate path is more commonly built around computer science or engineering with cybersecurity coursework or credentials added on.
