Is the University of Florida or Carnegie Mellon better for undergraduate robotics?

I’m a high school senior deciding between the University of Florida and Carnegie Mellon for an undergraduate path in robotics. I’m mainly trying to compare which school offers stronger overall opportunities for robotics coursework, research, and hands-on experience.

The University of Florida can be an excellent choice for a student who wants a broad engineering education, significant campus resources, and room to build a robotics path through computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and hands-on design organizations. UF’s engineering college supports robotics-related research and project work, and its larger public-university setting may offer more flexibility to combine robotics with another interest or to explore before committing to a narrow specialty.

UF becomes especially compelling when its cost is substantially lower, when you prefer a larger campus experience, or when you want to develop robotics through a traditional engineering major rather than through a dedicated robotics degree.
