Which college has stronger student traditions: Johns Hopkins or UVA?

The historic Academical Village also gives many UVA traditions a shared physical setting that students recognize immediately.

Johns Hopkins does have community traditions, including Hoptoberfest, campus celebrations, residential programming, and Blue Jay school spirit, but participation tends to be more event-specific and varies more by friend group, residence hall, and student organization. Its Homewood campus has an active student life, yet the culture is more often centered on academics, research, and individual communities than on campus-wide rituals.
