For hands-on learning, look beyond course titles and compare each school’s major requirements, undergraduate research options, internships, and farm or field facilities in your intended area. A student planning to build a career in Florida agriculture may gain unusually relevant contacts and experience at UF. A student seeking a broader research-oriented agriculture curriculum, colder-climate production systems, or a larger national academic network may find Cornell’s CALS environment more aligned with their goals.
