Its large employer network, hands-on project culture, and recruiting connections can lead to excellent outcomes without paying a private-university price.

Northwestern’s advantage is its smaller private-university environment, access to Chicago internships, interdisciplinary options across schools, and an extensive national alumni network. It also provides substantial need-based financial aid for many admitted students, so its sticker price can be misleading.
