Which has stronger school spirit: Johns Hopkins or Vanderbilt?

Johns Hopkins has a spirited community too, but it is less centered on large-scale sports attendance and more on traditions, student organizations, residential communities, and its nationally prominent lacrosse culture.

At Vanderbilt, game days are a recognizable part of the social calendar, and students can find a broad fan culture even if they are not varsity athletes. Events around football, basketball, and baseball give the campus a more traditional, high-energy university atmosphere. Campus traditions and student programming also benefit from Vanderbilt’s compact, residential setting in Nashville.

Hopkins students do turn out strongly for key lacrosse games, and the Blue Jays’ history in that sport gives those events real significance.
