Which is better for chemical engineering: Clemson or the University of Delaware?
I’m a high school senior deciding between Clemson and the University of Delaware for chemical engineering. I’m mainly trying to compare the overall strength of their undergraduate chemical engineering programs, including academics, hands-on opportunities, and preparation for careers or graduate school.

Its campus experience, school spirit, and wider engineering community may also be substantially more appealing depending on what you want from college outside the major.
For chemical engineering alone, I would give the edge to the University of Delaware because its department, nearby industry network, and research opportunities align especially closely with the field. Clemson becomes the more compelling choice when its campus environment, cost, scholarships, or a specific co-op opportunity is significantly better for you; those factors can outweigh a modest program-level advantage.
