Which offers more academic flexibility, Emory or the University of Michigan?

For a student admitted to Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), the University of Michigan offers more academic flexibility overall. Its much larger course catalog, wide range of majors and minors, and access to offerings across a large research university make it especially strong for someone who wants to sample fields before settling on a direction.

That flexibility is not identical across all Michigan schools. Engineering, for example, has a more sequenced curriculum. Michigan is most flexible when a student begins in LSA and wants academic breadth across the humanities, social sciences, sciences, languages, and interdisciplinary areas.
