I’m a high school senior deciding between Georgia Tech and UCLA for engineering. At Georgia Tech, the more formalized engineering pathways can reduce that initial barrier. UCLA may be the more compelling environment for a student whose interests sit at the intersection of engineering with life sciences, public health, arts, or other large research fields; for straightforward engineering research access and support, Georgia Tech is likely to feel more navigable from the start.
