UIUC vs University of Minnesota for Chemical Engineering: Which Program Is a Better Fit?

I’m a high school senior deciding between the chemical engineering programs at UIUC and the University of Minnesota. I’m interested in strong academics, undergraduate research, and good career preparation, but I’m not sure how the programs differ in ways that would matter most for a chemical engineering student.

Cost, honors opportunities, and the specific research groups you could realistically join should be meaningful tiebreakers.
