Its reputation is also strengthened by its status as Florida’s flagship public institution and by broad strengths across the sciences, business, agriculture, and health-related fields.

For overall prestige alone, UT Austin has a modest edge in broad national perception, but the gap is not large enough to outweigh meaningful differences in cost, residency, campus environment, or career location.
