Which offers a stronger small-college experience: Boston College or Williams College?

Boston College can still feel personal, particularly within a residence hall, student organization, service group, or major. Its Jesuit emphasis on formation and community gives the campus a cohesive culture, and many students build strong friend groups. But BC has the energy, resources, course breadth, and social variety of a mid-sized university, along with easy access to Boston. That creates more distinct circles and a less universally intimate day-to-day environment than at Williams.

For a student whose top priority is routinely knowing peers, developing close professor relationships, and living in a campus-centered community, Williams more directly delivers that atmosphere.
