Its veterinary college and agricultural facilities create a concentrated campus ecosystem for those interests. UIUC has a slight edge if you are already committed to a traditional animal-science-heavy pre-vet route, particularly one involving large animals or agriculture. Minnesota may be the wiser choice if its location, cost, campus culture, or access to a wider range of clinical settings will help you earn higher grades and build more consistent experience.
