Is Emory or Fordham better for preparing for law school?

Fordham’s New York City setting can make it easier to pursue internships during the academic year with law firms, courts, advocacy organizations, city agencies, and businesses. Fordham can be a particularly practical choice for a student who is organized enough to use the city consistently, not just occasionally.

For law-school preparation alone, Emory has a slight edge if you expect to thrive in a more academically focused, residential environment and want to maximize GPA, close faculty recommendations, and sustained research or writing. Fordham can match or exceed that preparation when you actively pursue NYC internships throughout college. The better choice is the one where you can earn excellent grades, take demanding writing-intensive courses, and graduate with meaningful experiences rather than simply the school with a law school nearby.
