How does the campus location of Georgia Tech compare with Florida State University?

Georgia Tech fits students who want a genuinely urban campus embedded in a major city. Its Midtown Atlanta location puts students near offices, museums, restaurants, concerts, professional sports, and a large airport, while MARTA rail and buses provide some access beyond campus without a car. The tradeoff is Atlanta’s traffic, higher-cost city environment, and a campus that feels integrated with surrounding development rather than isolated from it.

Florida State is a better match for someone who wants a traditional, self-contained college setting with the advantages of a state capital.
