For a student who wants a campus experience deeply flavored by a singular city, with historic neighborhoods and a more independent off-campus rhythm, Tulane is the more compelling choice. Vanderbilt is the better match for someone who wants a traditional, cohesive campus with convenient access to a fast-growing city and a dense set of nearby student-oriented amenities.
