Which is better for an undergraduate supply chain major: Rutgers or Penn State?

The program’s information-systems component is particularly valuable because supply-chain jobs increasingly involve data, enterprise software, forecasting, and process analysis, not only transportation or purchasing.

Rutgers remains a credible option, especially for students who want access to the New Jersey and New York business corridor. Its location can be useful for internships with logistics, pharmaceutical, consumer-products, retail, and port-related employers, and Rutgers may be the more financially sensible decision for a New Jersey resident.

For a student prioritizing the strongest structured program, alumni network, and recruiting preparation specifically in supply chain, Penn State has the edge. A substantially lower Rutgers cost, however, could make Rutgers the more practical decision.
