How do Arizona State and Williams compare in alumni network strength and accessibility?

I am choosing between Arizona State and Williams and am especially interested in how useful each school’s alumni network is after graduation. I know ASU has a much larger student body, while Williams has a smaller and more concentrated alumni community, so I’m trying to understand which network is generally easier for students and graduates to access for career connections.

For a student who wants a smaller, more personal network where alumni outreach can feel direct and relationship-based, Williams is likely easier to navigate.

Williams may be especially valuable for students pursuing fields where alumni connections and early guidance matter a great deal, such as finance, consulting, law, research, arts, and selective graduate programs.

ASU fits students who want breadth: a very large alumni base, extensive representation across industries, and particularly strong reach in Arizona and the Southwest. Students who take initiative through career fairs, alumni events, LinkedIn outreach, student organizations, and internship programs can build an excellent network there.

The tradeoff is that ASU’s network is less automatically intimate. An ASU student may need to be more deliberate about identifying alumni in a target field, city, or company rather than expecting connections to emerge organically.
