For traditional environmental engineering career preparation, including consulting, water resources, municipal systems, and technical environmental design, Georgia Tech provides the clearer undergraduate pathway and broader engineering network. Duke is especially compelling when the goal is to combine engineering with environmental studies, policy, or climate-focused research rather than pursue a highly specialized environmental engineering curriculum from day one.
