UVA vs. Purdue for Aerospace Engineering: Which Undergraduate Program Is Stronger?

For a student specifically seeking aerospace engineering, Purdue is the substantially stronger undergraduate option. Purdue offers a dedicated Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering through its School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, with an established national reputation in the field. UVA does not offer a standalone undergraduate aerospace engineering major, so it cannot provide the same depth of specialized coursework, laboratories, faculty concentration, or aerospace-focused recruiting.
