Which is a better fit for studying arts management: UIUC or NYU?

UIUC suits someone who wants to learn the business side of the arts within a traditional campus environment and build practical skills before entering a museum, nonprofit arts organization, venue, or performing-arts institution. Its connection to fine and applied arts can be especially valuable for students interested in working across visual art, design, music, theater, or community arts.

NYU makes more sense for a student whose priority is being in New York City and using that location to pursue internships, part-time work, and networking with arts organizations while completing a related major or individualized academic path. New York offers unusual proximity to museums, galleries, theaters, arts nonprofits, cultural foundations, and entertainment companies.
