For law-school preparation, the most important outcomes will be a high GPA, a strong LSAT score, sustained writing and analytical work, and meaningful experiences, rather than the name of the undergraduate institution. Maryland’s breadth gives you room to choose a major in which you can excel while building a rigorous course schedule with logic, ethics, constitutional law, political science, research, and advanced writing.
