Texas A&M is the stronger choice for pre-veterinary preparation because it has an on-campus College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences alongside robust animal-science and biomedical coursework. That proximity gives undergraduates more direct exposure to veterinary teaching, research, species-specific facilities, and a large professional veterinary community. Clemson can prepare students well, but Texas A&M offers a more complete veterinary-centered ecosystem.

Texas A&M undergraduates can pursue majors such as Animal Science or Biomedical Sciences while taking the prerequisites required by DVM programs.
