Which has stronger pre-med advising: the University of Florida or Wake Forest University?

Wake Forest University is likely to provide the more personal and structured pre-med advising experience. Its dedicated Office of Pre-Health Advising guides students through prerequisite planning, clinical and research preparation, recommendation letters, and the medical-school application timeline. Wake Forest’s smaller undergraduate environment also tends to make it easier to build sustained relationships with professors and advisors who can give detailed feedback on your readiness.

At the University of Florida, pre-health advising is available through its career and advising infrastructure, with workshops, appointments, application resources, and access to a large health-professions community. UF also offers extensive opportunities in research, hospitals, service, and student organizations. The tradeoff is scale: students often need to take more initiative in finding mentors, tracking requirements, and standing out among a much larger pre-med population.
