University of Arizona vs. San Diego State: Which Has Better Campus Life?

Its setting is a major advantage for students who want weekends that might include beaches, concerts, food neighborhoods, internships, or exploring the city. The tradeoff is that the social scene can require more initiative and planning because not everyone lives in the same immediate campus area.

For the specific goal of a welcoming, activity-filled campus where it is easy to meet people day to day, University of Arizona has the edge. San Diego State is the more appealing choice for someone who wants an energetic campus life without giving up the variety and lifestyle of living in San Diego.
