Tulane students can plug into concerts, food, festivals, Mardi Gras traditions, and neighborhoods near campus, so the social scene can feel varied and spontaneous. Wake Forest’s social calendar is more likely to revolve around campus events, friend groups, Greek-life activities, and school spirit.

At Wake Forest, students often describe it as a polished, social, and highly involved campus where it is easy to run into the same people and build a consistent circle. Greek life has a visible presence, and basketball, tailgates, and campus traditions give weekends a communal feel. Winston-Salem has restaurants, bars, and things to do, but it does not provide the same built-in big-city nightlife and cultural backdrop as New Orleans.
