At FSU, Tallahassee feels strongly centered on the university and on state-government activity. Students who want spirited game days, lots of organized campus events, and a busier social scene often find that energizing. The climate is warm and humid for much of the academic year, and travel home may be simpler if you live in Florida or the Southeast.

CSU’s Fort Collins location is a major differentiator. It is a walkable, bike-friendly city near the foothills, with a strong local food, music, and outdoor culture.
