Its SEC football culture, game days at Williams-Brice Stadium, and the nearby Five Points nightlife create regular campus-wide social occasions. The Columbia campus is also relatively compact, which can make the student community feel immediately connected.

South Carolina’s social calendar tends to be organized around athletics, Greek life, residence halls, concerts, and downtown Columbia. Students who enjoy tailgates, wearing school colors, large shared traditions, and a more extroverted weekend culture often find that atmosphere especially appealing.
