UIUC vs Boston University for Pre-Dental: Which Offers Better Preparation for Dental School?

Boston University offers the more direct pre-dental environment because it has an on-campus dental school, the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, alongside dedicated pre-professional advising. That proximity can make it easier to learn about dentistry, attend relevant programming, and connect with a health-professions-focused campus community. BU also provides the standard dental-school prerequisites through a broad range of biology, chemistry, physics, and biochemistry coursework.

BU’s Pre-Professional Advising Office supports students pursuing health professions with course planning, application guidance, committee-letter processes where applicable, and preparation for the DAT and dental-school timeline.
