Which college is generally considered more prestigious: the University of Michigan or Boston College?

The University of Michigan is generally viewed as having the stronger overall national and international academic prestige. It has especially broad recognition as a major research university, with highly regarded programs across engineering, business, computer science, the sciences, public policy, and many other fields.
