Which school has stronger school spirit: Wake Forest or Penn State?

Penn State has the more visible, large-scale school spirit, especially around football. Beaver Stadium game days, the White Out, student tailgates, and the annual THON fundraiser create traditions that involve a huge share of campus and are central to the university’s identity. Students who want weekends to revolve around major athletic events and a loud, unified fan culture will likely find Penn State especially energizing.

Wake Forest has real pride and a close-knit fan base, but its atmosphere is more intimate. The Demon Deacons’ ACC basketball and football games, campus tailgating, and traditions such as Project Pumpkin give students ways to participate without the scale or intensity of Penn State’s major events. Because Wake Forest is much smaller, school spirit can feel more personal.
