ASU also benefits from having a respected law school on campus, which can translate into pre-law programming, speaker events, and a clearer pipeline to legal exposure. For many students, that kind of structure is exactly what helps them develop the discipline law school applications reward.

On academic rigor, neither school gives you a built-in admissions boost simply for being harder. Law schools care much more about the grades themselves than about whether one college felt more intense than another. So the real question is where you are more likely to thrive in writing-heavy classes, build close relationships with professors, and sustain a high GPA over four years.

If your goal is the strongest overall law-school-oriented ecosystem, George Washington has the more distinctive location advantage. If your goal is the best odds of graduating with an excellent GPA, solid advising, and less friction on the path, Arizona State is often the smarter pre-law bet.
