Which is better for accounting, Michigan State or Santa Clara University?

Santa Clara’s Leavey School of Business benefits a lot from being in Santa Clara, where internships and employer connections can be especially convenient during the school year.

A bigger program also usually means more accounting-specific coursework, more classmates headed into public accounting, and a larger alumni base in firms across multiple regions.

Santa Clara is appealing if you want a more personal-sized campus experience and expect to build your career in California, especially the Bay Area. Its location can matter a lot for internships, networking, and part-time opportunities during the academic year.

Cost should matter here too, because accounting outcomes can be strong from both schools if you perform well and recruit early. If Santa Clara would cost much more, it is hard to justify paying a large premium over Michigan State for accounting.
