If your goal is long-term career preparation in hotel management, Cornell has the clearer edge. Its Nolan School of Hotel Administration is known for strong employer visibility, a deep alumni network across hotels, real estate, food and beverage, and luxury brands, and a curriculum that treats hospitality as a serious business discipline.

Arizona State can still be a good option, especially if you want a broader business environment, a warmer location, or potentially lower cost. ASU has hospitality-related pathways and strong overall resources, but it does not have the same singular reputation in hotel management that Cornell does. In practice, that usually means you may need to be more proactive at ASU in building hospitality-specific connections, while at Cornell the pipeline is more established.

For internships and job prospects in hotels, Cornell is the stronger choice. Its name carries weight well beyond campus, and in hospitality that brand is especially relevant because the school has longstanding relationships with major employers. Unless cost or personal fit changes the picture significantly, Cornell is the better bet for someone who wants the strongest preparation for a hotel management career.
