Penn State’s University Park campus is more isolated and immersive, so student life tends to revolve more heavily around campus traditions, downtown State College, and the university itself.

Ohio State has a dense, busy feel in many areas, and because it blends into the surrounding city, the edge of campus can feel less distinct.
