Boston College tends to offer the stronger campus-life experience if you want a more traditional, all-in student environment. Students are much more likely to live and spend time on or near campus, school spirit is a visible part of daily life, and the social scene is closely tied to the university itself rather than spread across a city. Fordham has energy too, especially at Rose Hill, but the student experience is usually more divided between campus and New York.

One big difference is how central campus is to student life. At Boston College, the residential setup, athletics culture, and suburban setting make the campus the default social hub. A lot of hanging out, events, and weekend activity happen through student organizations, dorm communities, and school-sponsored traditions, so the sense of community is easier to feel day to day.
