Chapman can still work well, especially in Orange County and parts of Los Angeles, but the recruiting reach is not typically as broad.

At Boston College, the Carroll School is well known among employers, and being near Boston matters a lot. Its smaller scale can make career advising and professor access feel more personal, and the Southern California location helps with internships in real estate, entrepreneurship, entertainment-adjacent business roles, and regional firms. That said, the recruiting ecosystem is more localized, and students often need to do more of the legwork themselves to break into highly competitive national employers.

If your main question is which school gives you the better shot at internships and structured recruiting during undergrad, Boston College has the clearer edge. Chapman is a reasonable option if you specifically want Southern California and are comfortable building opportunities more independently, but for pure internship and recruiting strength, I would pick Boston College.
