For pure value, the better choice depends heavily on your final net price, because both are private universities with high sticker prices. Academically, USD usually has the stronger overall reputation. It is especially well regarded for business, international relations, and some professional pathways, and its location in San Diego can help with internships in business, nonprofit, and biotech-related spaces.
